The Texas School Health Association was organized in 1976 by a group of health professionals with the purpose of promoting and improving the health and well-being of the children of Texas. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and disciplines but all are ultimately committed to teaching health lifestyles to our children.
Mission Statement: To protect and improve the well-being of children and youth in Texas by supporting comprehensive school health programs.
The Texas School Health Association is dedicated to improving the well-being and health of the children of Texas, together we can make a difference. TSHA is the only organization in Texas that focuses exclusively on school health issues. We welcome your support as we face the challenges in the upcoming years as we attempt to make a difference in the quality of comprehensive school health programs across Texas. As a health professional, you know the value of being involved in activities which support the field of health education. TSHA is a group of dedicated health educators who come together to support and promote comprehensive school health education programs.
