Vice President: Attend all board meetings and annual conference Assume office of President-elect as provided in Constitution and By-Laws Write articles for The Brief as needed Serve as the conference awards chair Solicit nominations for Board of Directors and Officers Organize conference awards dinner including entertainment Obtain the conference award plaques Promote TSHA and actively recruit members Provide recruitment ideas/plans and data sources for membership opportunities Serve on the annual conference planning subcommittee Communicate in a timely manner regarding Association business

Treasurer: Attend all board meetings and annual conference Maintain financial accounts Write checks and make deposits Maintain financial records & prepare financial reports to the Officers, Board of Directors, and membership Prepare a special financial statement for the annual conference Promote TSHA and actively recruit members Provide recruitment ideas/plans and data sources for membership opportunities Write articles for The Brief as needed Serve on the annual conference planning subcommittee Communicate in a timely manner regarding Association business

Executive Director Responsibilities (Not an elected position)
Membership: Maintain membership database Publish membership directory Update and print membership marketing brochure Send membership brochures as requested Send dues renewal notices three times annually Send receipts and thank you letters to new members Prepare and mail information packets to potential members Print and send labels to board and officers as requested Conduct member recruitment mailings as directed by the board
Financial: Inform officers and board regarding financial matters of the Association Send all receipts, invoices and thank you letters Coordinate expenditures with Treasurer File TSHA taxes for 501 3 (c) annually
Newsletter: Publish The Brief as directed by the Board of Directors Notify members, authors, and advertisers of deadlines and criteria for articles Gather articles from members and authors Format, print and mail publication to members
Communications: Maintain phone and fax at TSHA home office Respond to requests for information Maintain TSHA website
Supplies: Purchase supplies as needed Maintain a supply of stationery Provide stationery to board and officers as requested Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
Records: Maintain archival materials Maintain files and membership rolls Maintain constitution and by laws documents Maintain continuing education units (CEU) document files Maintain documents related to TSHA administration
Annual Conference: Respond to conference inquiries Route conference requests for information to appropriate conference committee member Maintain conference database of participants (i.e. speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, etc.)Manage conference registrations, receipts and invoices Provide administrative support to conference chair and all subcommittees
Membership: Members who join after August 1 will receive membership for the current and following year.
Board Expenses: Board members may have their travel paid for to the annual conference.*
Officer Expenses: Officers may have their travel paid to the annual conference and also have their lodging reimbursed.*
Summer Board Mtg. Officer and board members may have their travel reimbursed to the summer board meeting.*
Mileage Costs: Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rates.
* Officers and board members are encouraged to secure funding outside of TSHA. Decisions regarding reimbursement of expenses will be determined by a vote of the officers and board members based on the financial solvency of the Association.
